II Chronicles 36 (kjv)

36

Then the peopleH5971 of the landH776 tookH3947 JehoahazH3059 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977, and made him kingH4427 in his father'sH1 stead in JerusalemH3389.2JehoahazH3099 was twentyH6242 and threeH7969 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 threeH7969 monthsH2320 in JerusalemH3389.3And the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 put him downH5493 at JerusalemH3389, and condemnedH6064 the landH776 in an hundredH3967 talentsH3603 of silverH3701 and a talentH3603 of goldH2091.4And the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 made EliakimH471 his brotherH251 kingH4427 over JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389, and turnedH5437 his nameH8034 to JehoiakimH3079. And NechoH5224 tookH3947 JehoahazH3099 his brotherH251, and carriedH935 him to EgyptH4714.

5JehoiakimH3079 was twentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 elevenH259 H6240 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389: and he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 his GodH430.6Against him came upH5927 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and boundH631 him in fettersH5178, to carryH3212 him to BabylonH894.7NebuchadnezzarH5019 also carriedH935 of the vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 to BabylonH894, and putH5414 them in his templeH1964 at BabylonH894.8Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JehoiakimH3079, and his abominationsH8441 which he didH6213, and that which was foundH4672 in him, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063: and JehoiachinH3078 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

9JehoiachinH3078 was eightH8083 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 threeH7969 monthsH2320 and tenH6235 daysH3117 in JerusalemH3389: and he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068.10And when the yearH8141 was expiredH8666, kingH4428 NebuchadnezzarH5019 sentH7971, and broughtH935 him to BabylonH894, with the goodlyH2532 vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and made ZedekiahH6667 his brotherH251 kingH4427 over JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389.

11ZedekiahH6667 was oneH259 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and reignedH4427 elevenH259 H6240 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389.12And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 his GodH430, and humbledH3665 not himself beforeH6440 JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 speaking from the mouthH6310 of the LORDH3068.13And he also rebelledH4775 against kingH4428 NebuchadnezzarH5019, who had made him swearH7650 by GodH430: but he stiffenedH7185 his neckH6203, and hardenedH553 his heartH3824 from turningH7725 unto the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478.

14Moreover all the chiefH8269 of the priestsH3548, and the peopleH5971, transgressedH4603 veryH4604 muchH7235 after all the abominationsH8441 of the heathenH1471; and pollutedH2930 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 which he had hallowedH6942 in JerusalemH3389.15And the LORDH3068 GodH430 of their fathersH1 sentH7971 to them byH3027 his messengersH4397, rising up betimesH7925, and sendingH7971; because he had compassionH2550 on his peopleH5971, and on his dwelling placeH4583:16But they mockedH3931 the messengersH4397 of GodH430, and despisedH959 his wordsH1697, and misusedH8591 his prophetsH5030, until the wrathH2534 of the LORDH3068 aroseH5927 against his peopleH5971, till there was no remedyH4832.17Therefore he broughtH5927 upon them the kingH4428 of the ChaldeesH3778, who slewH2026 their young menH970 with the swordH2719 in the houseH1004 of their sanctuaryH4720, and had no compassionH2550 upon young manH970 or maidenH1330, old manH2205, or him that stooped for ageH3486: he gaveH5414 them all into his handH3027.18And all the vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of GodH430, greatH1419 and smallH6996, and the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and the treasuresH214 of the kingH4428, and of his princesH8269; all these he broughtH935 to BabylonH894.19And they burntH8313 the houseH1004 of GodH430, and brake downH5422 the wallH2346 of JerusalemH3389, and burntH8313 all the palacesH759 thereof with fireH784, and destroyedH7843 all the goodlyH4261 vesselsH3627 thereof.20And them that had escapedH7611 from the swordH2719 carried he awayH1540 to BabylonH894; where they were servantsH5650 to him and his sonsH1121 until the reignH4427 of the kingdomH4438 of PersiaH6539:21To fulfilH4390 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 by the mouthH6310 of JeremiahH3414, until the landH776 had enjoyedH7521 her sabbathsH7676: for as long asH3117 she lay desolateH8074 she kept sabbathH7673, to fulfilH4390 threescore and tenH7657 yearsH8141.

22Now in the firstH259 yearH8141 of CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539, that the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 spoken by the mouthH6310 of JeremiahH3414 might be accomplishedH3615, the LORDH3068 stirred upH5782 the spiritH7307 of CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539, that he made a proclamationH5674 H6963 throughout all his kingdomH4438, and put it also in writingH4385, sayingH559,23Thus saithH559 CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539, All the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776 hath the LORDH3068 GodH430 of heavenH8064 givenH5414 me; and he hath chargedH6485 me to buildH1129 him an houseH1004 in JerusalemH3389, which is in JudahH3063. Who is there among you of all his peopleH5971? The LORDH3068 his GodH430 be with him, and let him go upH5927.
