I Kings 19 (kjv)

19

And AhabH256 toldH5046 JezebelH348 all that ElijahH452 had doneH6213, and withal how he had slainH2026 all the prophetsH5030 with the swordH2719.2Then JezebelH348 sentH7971 a messengerH4397 unto ElijahH452, sayingH559, So let the godsH430 doH6213 to me, and moreH3254 also, if I makeH7760 not thy lifeH5315 as the lifeH5315 of oneH259 of them by to morrowH4279 about this timeH6256.3And when he sawH7200 that, he aroseH6965, and wentH3212 for his lifeH5315, and cameH935 to BeershebaH884, which belongeth to JudahH3063, and leftH3240 his servantH5288 there.

4But he himself wentH1980 a day'sH3117 journeyH1870 into the wildernessH4057, and cameH935 and sat downH3427 under aH259 juniper treeH7574: and he requestedH7592 for himselfH5315 that he might dieH4191; and saidH559, It is enoughH7227; now, O LORDH3068, take awayH3947 my lifeH5315; for I am not betterH2896 than my fathersH1.5And as he layH7901 and sleptH3462 under aH259 juniper treeH7574, behold, then an angelH4397 touchedH5060 him, and saidH559 unto him, AriseH6965 and eatH398.6And he lookedH5027, and, behold, there was a cakeH5692 baken on the coalsH7529, and a cruseH6835 of waterH4325 at his headH4763. And he did eatH398 and drinkH8354, and laid him downH7901 againH7725.7And the angelH4397 of the LORDH3068 came againH7725 the second timeH8145, and touchedH5060 him, and saidH559, AriseH6965 and eatH398; because the journeyH1870 is too greatH7227 for thee.8And he aroseH6965, and did eatH398 and drinkH8354, and wentH3212 in the strengthH3581 of that meatH396 fortyH705 daysH3117 and fortyH705 nightsH3915 unto HorebH2722 the mountH2022 of GodH430.

9And he cameH935 thither unto a caveH4631, and lodgedH3885 there; and, behold, the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to him, and he saidH559 unto him, What doest thou here, ElijahH452?10And he saidH559, I have been veryH7065 jealousH7065 for the LORDH3068 GodH430 of hostsH6635: for the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 have forsakenH5800 thy covenantH1285, thrown downH2040 thine altarsH4196, and slainH2026 thy prophetsH5030 with the swordH2719; and I, even I only, am leftH3498; and they seekH1245 my lifeH5315, to take it awayH3947.11And he saidH559, Go forthH3318, and standH5975 upon the mountH2022 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068. And, behold, the LORDH3068 passed byH5674, and a greatH1419 and strongH2389 windH7307 rentH6561 the mountainsH2022, and brake in piecesH7665 the rocksH5553 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068; but the LORDH3068 was not in the windH7307: and afterH310 the windH7307 an earthquakeH7494; but the LORDH3068 was not in the earthquakeH7494:12And afterH310 the earthquakeH7494 a fireH784; but the LORDH3068 was not in the fireH784: and afterH310 the fireH784 a stillH1827 smallH1851 voiceH6963.13And it was so, when ElijahH452 heardH8085 it, that he wrappedH3874 his faceH6440 in his mantleH155, and went outH3318, and stoodH5975 in the entering inH6607 of the caveH4631. And, behold, there came a voiceH6963 unto him, and saidH559, What doest thou here, ElijahH452?14And he saidH559, I have been veryH7065 jealousH7065 for the LORDH3068 GodH430 of hostsH6635: because the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 have forsakenH5800 thy covenantH1285, thrown downH2040 thine altarsH4196, and slainH2026 thy prophetsH5030 with the swordH2719; and I, even I only, am leftH3498; and they seekH1245 my lifeH5315, to take it awayH3947.15And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto him, GoH3212, returnH7725 on thy wayH1870 to the wildernessH4057 of DamascusH1834: and when thou comestH935, anointH4886 HazaelH2371 to be kingH4428 over SyriaH758:16And JehuH3058 the sonH1121 of NimshiH5250 shalt thou anointH4886 to be kingH4428 over IsraelH3478: and ElishaH477 the sonH1121 of ShaphatH8202 of AbelmeholahH65 shalt thou anointH4886 to be prophetH5030 in thy room.17And it shall come to pass, that him that escapethH4422 the swordH2719 of HazaelH2371 shall JehuH3058 slayH4191: and him that escapethH4422 from the swordH2719 of JehuH3058 shall ElishaH477 slayH4191.18Yet I have leftH7604 me sevenH7651 thousandH505 in IsraelH3478, all the kneesH1290 which have not bowedH3766 unto BaalH1168, and every mouthH6310 which hath not kissedH5401 him.

19So he departedH3212 thence, and foundH4672 ElishaH477 the sonH1121 of ShaphatH8202, who was plowingH2790 with twelveH8147 H6240 yokeH6776 of oxen beforeH6440 him, and he with the twelfthH8147 H6240: and ElijahH452 passedH5674 by him, and castH7993 his mantleH155 upon him.20And he leftH5800 the oxenH1241, and ranH7323 afterH310 ElijahH452, and saidH559, Let me, I pray thee, kissH5401 my fatherH1 and my motherH517, and then I will followH3212 H310 thee. And he saidH559 unto him, Go backH3212 againH7725: for what have I doneH6213 to thee?21And he returned backH7725 from himH310, and tookH3947 a yokeH6776 of oxenH1241, and slewH2076 them, and boiledH1310 their fleshH1320 with the instrumentsH3627 of the oxenH1241, and gaveH5414 unto the peopleH5971, and they did eatH398. Then he aroseH6965, and wentH3212 afterH310 ElijahH452, and ministeredH8334 unto him.
